Our Company History

A long time ago...

Under the distinguished chairmanship of Mr. Eniath Mohamed, Eniath's Printing Company Limited was formerly opened in 1985. Mr. Mohamed under advice from his son in law, Amshard, bought over a small printing plant in receivership. Mr. Eniath entrusted this one of his many endeavors to his son in law and daughter, Amshard and Shahnaz Mohammed.

At that time, with only two skilled and three unskilled employees, 1000 square feet on one floor, and two operational printing presses, Eniath's Printing began operating as a small commercial printing establishment.

Amshard had a clear vision of the niche Eniath's Printing would fill, for longevity and staying power in the trade. The local government was then phasing out imported textbooks for locally authored ones. In the early days, Amshard sought our local publishers like Mr. Frank Porter, and Mr. Wesley Furlonge, and convinced them to give his new business a try. Technically inclined, Amshard devoted countless hours to learning the printing business.

A little while later...

For the next ten years Eniath's Printing showed sound dedication, commitment and integrity to its customers and was soon a printing force to be reckoned with, under the exemplary leadership of Amshard Mohammed.

Sadly and suddenly, in May of 1996, Amshard suffered a heart attack and died at the youthful age of 41. Eniath's Printing would never be what it is today if it were not for this most outstanding, kind, intelligent and trustworthy human being.

Mr. Eniath along with his daughter, Shahnaz, and her staff began slowly to pick up the pieces and through its reputation continued its operations successfully. In 2000, the Eniath's Group suffered another death, this time our founding father, Mr. Eniath Mohamed himself, another most outstanding human, with doubtless commitment, dedication, generosity and spirituality.

Not so long ago...

Today, some 22 years later, with over sixty skilled employees, modern state-of-the-art equipment and two printing facilities with over 40,000 square feet of floor space (and a third facility under development), textbook production remains our main focus. Local and regional authors and publishers depend and trust Eniath's Printing to produce the thousands of books that fill the Caribbean's book-bags come the 1st day of each new September school term.

At the beginning of the 21st century, Eniath's Printing has won the reputation as the "book printing giant" of Trinidad & Tobago and the English speaking Caribbean. We are proud to say that we have the largest capacity, fastest turn-around, technical know-how and market share in this area. But our services and ambitions have expanded well beyond the real of textbook printing. Today, Eniath's offers high quality commercial printing and state of the art digital printing capabilities, and offers solutions to almost any printing need, large or small.
